2018 Facebook Summit Recap: #SheMeansBusiness

I had the pleasure of attending the #SheMeansBusiness workshop at the 2018 Facebook Summit. Professional women were able to share encouragement for one another not only in the work environment, but also showing each other emotional support.

The workshop stressed that as women, our greatest challenge is our internal critic. Lisa McCarthy, CEO of Fast Forward Group, had the female attendees perform exercises in order to help us manage our inner critics.

2018 Facebook Summit Recap: Boost Brand Session

At the 2018 Facebook Summit, I attended the Boost Brand session. It focused on how to understand business, brands, and people. People are moving at a faster pace than businesses, which can be a problem if you are stagnant in the way you do business. However, it can be an opportunity if you are able to embrace and adapt to the changes within your environment, especially if you can do it faster than the competition.

This week, we attended a Facebook Session at the FFWD 2017 Conference in toronto. Speakers Erin Elofson, Director of Auto and Financial Services and Rick Malhotra, Director of Client Measurement from Facebook Canada discussed the steps that the financial services industry must take in order to adapt to the rapid shift to mobile. In order for businesses to prosper, they will need to provide forward-looking customer experiences and measurement strategies in the mobile market.
